A Brief History Lesson

Why is Northern Ireland not part of the Irish Republic? Two white tribes share the island. The Catholic Irish, once Gaelic-speaking, fought 800 years against English and Anglican rule. The Protestant loyalists (Scots-Irish) descend partly from prehistoric and Dark Age inhabitants of north-east Ireland and south-west Scotland, but mostly from Lowland Scots and Borders English settled in Ulster by James I in the early 17th century Plantation, plus later Presbyterian refugees and English/Welsh tenants.
Catholics were displaced, creating centuries of resentment and mutual violence. To defend their communities, Protestants formed the Orange Lodge; when forbidden arms they marched with drums and flutes – the tradition that continues.
When most of Ireland won independence in 1921, the Protestant majority in the north refused Catholic rule. Loyal to the British Crown and favouring the link with the rest of Britain, they became known as ‘Unionists’.
Both sides had smuggled in huge amounts of arms and ammunition and were prepared to fight it out. To avoid a bloody ethno-religious war, a separate, loyalist-dominated state was created out of the six mainly Protestant counties out of the ancient nine county province of Ulster.
Partition produced refugees and enclaves on both sides. Anti-Catholics discrimination, the siege-mentality of the Protestants, Marxist agitation, American meddling, and incompetent liberal government from Westminster combined to produce 30-years of violence during the Troubles.
The peace which followed the 1998 Good Friday Agreement was far from perfect, but the Troubles are now in the past, and they’re not coming back.
Dissident Republicans have little support and are out of touch even in their own areas. Higher Catholic birth rates shifted the old two-thirds Protestant majority to a narrow minority. The communities still largely live parallel lives, but the more we see of “England’s Troubles”, the less we worry about the old divide.

UNDERSTAND THE CHALLENGE
The Big Picture
The mainland faces bloodshed, upheaval, tidal waves of immigration and then population collapse. When the boomers all die off over the next twenty years, the indigenous population in going to drop like a stone.
Even if we are lucky enough to avoid a rapid collapse into full-on war, you already have a pretty good idea of what the future will be like for young Britons growing up in the ruined, betrayed nations we hold so dear. Life in England, Scotland and Wales is already so much poorer and nastier than our parents and grandparents ever thought it could be – and it’s going to get worse. Much worse.
The more things go wrong on the mainland, the more people here will be determined to keep out ‘minorities’. And the more mainlanders will move here.
With a total population of under 2 million, our own demographic decline is likely to be offset by the arrival of many good ‘internal refugees’ just like you. Enough to keep our small population stable enough to preserve a fully functional modern society while everywhere else goes to hell in a handcart.

Outlook for the Future
A growing appreciation of each other’s different, but both very European, cultural traditions is rapidly making sectarianism a thing of the past among the next generation.
Most working-class Catholics share the widespread loyalist opposition to the non-white immigration which the governments of the UK and the Irish Republic have been trying to force on us.
When a Somali immigrant tried to behead a man in Catholic West Belfast in June 2026, several hundred young loyalists from the neighbouring Shankill Road crossed the ‘peace line’ to show solidarity with their Catholic neighbours. They were made very welcome.
In the three days after the atrocity, hundreds of recently arrived Third World immigrants were forced out of Protestant East Belfast. The crowd of several thousand loyalists were joined by several dozen youths from the staunchly Republican Short Strand area – despite efforts by Sinn Fein/IRA to ‘stamp out racism’.
It was the first non-sectarian riot in modern history! The Orange and the Green coming together against a far bigger external threat. The old religious divide is being replaced by a new fault-line: Traditional values vs Woke.
With about 800,000 Catholics and 800,000 Protestants here, the arrival of thousands young British families with patriotic and traditionalist views is going to make a real difference.
You don’t have to try to get by in some once English or Scottish neighbourhood, where you and your family are now a despised minority in a place that no longer feels, looks, sounds or smells like Britain.
You certainly don’t have to head to Eastern Europe in order to rear your family in a civilised, relatively traditionalist and white country. You don’t have to leave everything familiar behind.
You can do much, much better for yourself and your family. Just a short flight or a few hours on a ferry, and you can start your new life in a place which is much more ‘British’ than anywhere on the mainland.
You can think of it as going back fifty years to the time before the traitor politicians put the mainland on the road to disaster. Or you can see it as going forward, moving to a country dominated by our very special ‘White Tribe’.

The British Revolution
As things get even worse on the mainland, our strong ‘tribal’ identity and grass-roots institutions provide the model and experience which the English, Scots and Welsh will need as demographic change turns them from an oppressed majority into a minority which must stand up to fight for its rights.
The day will come when the growing number of mainlanders in ‘internal exile’ from the strife-torn multicultural mainland will enable Northern Ireland to play a central role in the creation of effective English resistance, and in the eventual ‘Reconquista’ of the mainland homeland.
Until then, Ulster is going to be the great bastion of British identity and freedom in the years ahead. If your children and grandchildren become part of this community then, one day, some of your descendants will be among those who take back the Lost Lands, and begin the Great Rebuilding. Deus Vult!

About This Initiative
Britain’s Bastion is produced and hosted by the Knights Templar Order International as a service to the peoples of Britain and friends of Christendom everywhere. We know Northern Ireland intimately, having a fully functioning Priory, Chapter house and Church here.
